Decide what you want built into the story. Common options: hiding the ring inside the final puzzle, having it appear alongside a note once the room is "solved," or asking staff to work a private moment into the last few minutes. Hand over any props (the ring, a letter, photos) to staff ahead of time rather than carrying them yourself during the game.
Play it straight during the game. Treat it like a normal session until the planned moment — the surprise works better if your partner isn't tipped off by you acting differently for the first fifty minutes.
